Often we assume normality
while feathering our beds
imagining a straight trajectory
form cradle to grave
with only good things
dreamed of in between,
okay, a few bruises,
but nothing that devastates
or catapults into unknown
where everything gets reconsidered,
yet it happens daily,
just 'not to me',
we think until 'ta-da!',
then interpretations flood in
wanting answers, who's responsible
to blame for circumstances,
perhaps seeing accumulative signs
that were ignored, unconsciously
mandating 'soul' created divergence.
