last night,

asked it's job

and origin,

ideas of child

protection emerged

to enjoy life,

not miserable

like parents, adults,

in control,

also as filter

for priorities,

while kept from

being overwhelmed

by onslaught of

continual minutiae

trailing off toward

future drudgery

sucking out present

moment vitality,

instead, essential creative

process ingredient,

distilling 'inner knowing'

through murkiness.
