change slowly,

grasp,

hold on tightly

to familiar

safety,

simple pleasures that

buffer, distract

uneasy

confusion about future,

what's being

asked

when societal constructs

stretch to

breaking,

afraid of loss,

not thinking

gain,

what goodness awaits

in coming

days

now just thoughts,

dreams, stories,

swirling,

condensing in centrifuge.
