Called a secret ingredient
that keeps life interesting
yet not often embraced
when valuing 'control over',
people want expectations fulfilled
most likely having experienced
some negatively impacting episode
of disappoint in past
swearing to limit such
in any future endeavors,
but there are many
who had opposite response
as 'unexpected' brought joy,
extremely so, beyond dreams,
where mysterious 'What's next?'
now carries transformative potential
piquing curiosity toward possibilities,
new worlds behind veil
thrown open by surprises.
