Time Slips

Shorter days, longer nights,
bring first of reminders
that seasons are moving,
plus lately some smell
just barely a wisp
fires off brain synapse
stirring me to core
for the slowness coming,
Indian summer, Fall harvest,
leading extricably toward Winter
with it's rising invitation
around writing and workshop,
dreaming plans for future
while needed information arrives
following my interactions with
environment, people, place, life,
realizing everything is process,
more intimately when Earth,
Sun shift, time slips.
