How great
when funny bone
struck
uncovers well
of lighthearted laughter
inside,
finding escape
through smiling chuckles,
accelerating
then expanding,
reverberating deep to
core,
erupting like
nuclear fusion reactor
explosion,
unable to
be held politely
back,
howling guffaws,
hysterical rolling, holding
sides
that threaten
bursting, no breath
possible,
teary, face
hurting, from twisted
humor.
