The soul does witness

every ego antic engaged

on long evolutionary path

yet doesn't stop them,

more reserves judgment completely

for eons of time

perpetually loving past lives

like parent to children

watching in enthused amusement,

compassion, and deep understanding,

it's unique physical extension,

in early infant stage

there is little definition

of this 'cosmic cloud'

that hovers and protects

perhaps given identity as

'guardian angel', 'holy spirit',

bowing to invisible realms

where it's mastery dwells,

during adolescence, young adulthood,

minute recognition is given

amid cacophony of society

all it's reaching, striving,

but later in life

if one is fortunate

to ripen, living long,

an enveloping does descend

activating connection to Absolute

as magical wisdom robe

earned along the way.
