My cat 'Hammer'  who adopted me, my other cat 'Paint' and my dog 'Wing'.

It happened

so abruptly,

not considered

a possibility,

totally piercing

my heart

that shattered

from loss

of 'Hammer'

my cat, 

the lover,

who intruded

in beginning

pushed 'Paint'

from food,

once feral

he blossomed,

became affectionate

rubbing against

legs, body,

I fell

for him,

totally succumbed,

showering love,

hugging, kissing,

until final

sudden end.
