It's not very easy
keeping after the pursuit
of a desired goal
unless cherished social reward
whispers of the pleasure
completion will ultimately bring,
often times even harder
when effort is motivated
by intangible soul satisfaction
where benefits are unknown,
no guarantees of wealth,
accolades, respect, or 'success',
and driving urgent force
material gains spark fails,
leaving illusive inner guidance
to find rocket enthusiasm
for manifesting personal expression
in meaningful, content life
'following through' action permeates.
